First Year Conversations: Voices

First-Year Conversations is a regularly recurring set of conversations exploring how fundamental concepts are transformed when taken up in different media and disciplines. It reflects a collaboration of faculty and staff across Foundation, History of Art and Design and Humanities and Media Studies.

While the event is designed for first-year students who concurrently explore this concept in their classes, everyone in the Pratt community is warmly welcome to attend what promises to be a vibrant interdisciplinary conversation. Refreshments will be served.

This Spring’s Conversation will explore Voices as a complement to the Fall’s “Coded Translations”. We will engage in dialogue and practice around portraiture, self, individuality -and translation – across media.
