Ashley Lee Wong, PhD, is Assistant Professor of Cultural Studies and Associate Director of the MA Cultural Management programme at The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
She is Co-Founder and Artistic Director, MetaObjects, a studio that facilitates digital projects with artists and cultural institutions.
She is the author of the monograph, Ecologies of Artistic Practice: Rethinking Cultural Economies through Art and Technology (The MIT Press, 2025).
MetaObjects is a studio based in Hong Kong that facilitates digital production with artists and cultural institutions. Working across VR/AR, 3D printing, motion capture, AI, audiovisual production and web development, MetaObjects seeks to encourage the sharing of knowledge of new digital tools and processes.
MetaObjects has worked with artists including Ayoung Kim, Lu Yang, Samson Young, Helen Knowles, and others; and cultural institutions including M+ West Kowloon Cultural District, Tai Kwun Centre for Heritage and Arts, Performa Biennial, Liverpool Biennial, and many others.
