Black Dress Talks: Models

April 13, 2023 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Online and Higgins Hall

The Black Dress Project and the Pratt Fashion Department will present the second event in an ongoing series entitled, “Black Dress Talks”. This series highlights the contributions made by Black men and women in fashion through the sharing of stories that illustrate the creativity, the preservation, obstacles and triumphs they’ve experienced. Professor Adrienne Jones will be joined by fashion models, Coco Mitchell and Chetan Cutting, model and restaurateur Alvin Clayton, and fashion doyenne, Audrey Smaltz, for an in depth conversation about fashion, beauty, and the lack of diversity on the runway.

Black Dress Talks is made possible by the generous support of the Jane B. Nord endowed professorship, the Pratt Office of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion and the Pratt Fashion Department.

This event is free and open to the public with registration.
