The Office of DEI invites all faculty and staff to participate in our Anti-Racism Workshop offered in person on Wednesday, November 15th, 2023, from

2:00 PM to 4:00 PM in the Alumni Reading Room (ARR).

The Anti-Racism Workshop, which is facilitated by Jazmin A. Peralta, Executive Director of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, discusses how racism operates at multiple levels and also explores what it means to be anti-racist. It will unpack the relationships between historical events, institutional structures (federal/state laws, practices, policies), internalized ideologies (beliefs, perceptions, values, and attitudes), and social structures (federal/state programs, norms, and culture). The workshop will also provide participants with tangible tools and practices to become active anti-racist allies in the fight towards racial justice.
