400 Years of Inequality: 13th Film Screening and Talkback

October 17, 2019 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM

In collaboration with the Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and the Film/Video Department, and in the realm of the “400 Years of Inequality” initiative, Black Lives Matter Pratt will screen Ava DuVernay’s documentary 13th featuring a post-screening discussion facilitated by Katherine Cheairs. Mrs. Cheairs is an inspiring filmmaker, curator, community artist and a former educator in the prison industrial complex. Mrs. Cheairs is the Director of Education at Howl! Happening: An Arturo Vega Project and a PhD candidate at Columbia University. This event is free and open to the external community.
