2025 Material Lab Prize Exhibition Opening Reception

Now in its sixth year, the Material Lab Prize is an annual student design competition at Pratt that exhibits interdisciplinary student work involving material experimentation, or considers waste streams as a springboard for new design. Each year our jury is composed of designers and professionals for whom pushing material boundaries is central to their practice. In the past we’ve been fortunate to include Gaetano Pesche, Elise McMahon, and Chen Chen & Kai Williams among our many jurors.

At the reception, the jury will evaluate the shortlisted projects and name the recipient of the 2025 Material Lab Prize.
