  • Donni Davy, BFA Photography ’10, was interviewed by PopSugar for her work as a Hollywood makeup artist. “Makeup communicates so much to the audience,” she said. “It’s extra info; a storytelling tool.” 

  • Marcelo Minoliti, MPS Design Management ’99, has contributed to the newly published book An Endless Journey – Connecting the World: The Story of Corporación América Airports. This landmark publication chronicles the evolution of the world’s largest international airport operator, which manages over 50 terminals across Latin America, Asia, and Europe. The book highlights the company’s transformative modernization efforts, emphasizing advancements in technology, safety, operational capacity, and passenger connectivity, alongside its commitment to inclusion and sustainable practices such as renewable energy adoption.

  • Patrick O’Gorman, BS Construction Management ’24, is featured in BVM Sports in an article that highlights his journey from student athlete to coach. O’Gorman, who previously played for the men’s basketball team, is now an assistant coach for the team. “His experiences as a player have shaped his coaching philosophy, allowing him to foster a disciplined mindset and support his players’ development.”

  • Hannah Berkin-Harper, MID ’07, co-authored an op-ed in City Limits about the need for stronger climate solutions in New York. “Our proposal calls on city and state agencies to work with energy providers, like ConEd and New York Power Authority, to launch a ‘Plant to Plants’ initiative, which would transform polluting energy facilities into new models of waterfront infrastructure. “

  • The Associate Degree Department returned to MoCCA Fest this year. MoCCA Fest is the city’s largest annual independent comic and cartoon festival. Students from the AOS Illustration program showcased an assortment of artwork available for sale, including prints, zines, charms, and stickers. Students running the booth earned experience in tabling and selling their artwork at a large-scale event, while faculty provided free portfolio reviews to all interested passersby.

  • Professor of Creative Enterprise Leadership (CEL) Christopher Shrum led the research and publication for a recent publication from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) on the impact of federal grant funding in Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian communities. The research team included CEL alumni Kapena Alapai, MPS Arts and Cultural Management ’15, Sage Callen, MPS Arts and Cultural Management ’23, and Visiting Assistant Professor of CEL Innocent Ekejiuba
