SUST-353 The Politics of Food

The food system is arguably the most important and least understood aspect of the modern world. This course introduces students to food systems analysis and key issues in contemporary debates about food, including environmental impacts, effects on individual and public health, corporate power and labor, tensions between proponents and opponents of technology, and the role of policy in shaping what food gets produced and eaten.
