SUST-402P Sustainable Ecological Systems

3 Credits

This course will teach students the basic principles and practices of planning, designing, managing and restoring sustainable ecological systems using principles from the United Nations, The National Science Foundation and sound principles of diversity, equity and inclusion. This course will help students understand this important mission and incorporate the practices into their design studies and their professional work based on best practices for the regions and the peoples in the regions as well as the built and natural environment.These global ecological systems support natural systems which provide tangible benefits for humans and the planet. Students will learn intervention strategies to maximize the human/ecosystem relationships which provide the basis for a diverse, equitable and inclusive environment for all species.
