How has the moving image changed and changed us since the invention of cinema? Screen Cultures explores the histories of moving images in arts and media from early cinema to video games. The course addresses topics in film, video, television and digital arts to trace the shifts in the making and viewing of moving images from movie screens to the walls of museums and smart phones.
