This course is designed to enhance your scientific and quantitative literacy. It covers a range of topics and problems that adults commonly encounter in their lives. Many, if not most, sources of information are tailored by their creators to influence our perspectives using various methods. In this course, you will learn to quantitatively analyze different types of communication to better evaluate the credibility of the claims made. You will engage with a significant amount of mathematics, especially in the areas of statistics and probability. The focus of this course is on developing a range of quantitative reasoning skills to help you navigate the information landscape you face daily.
