PHOT-672 Puerto Rico through the Lens

Through the study of Puerto Rican history, culture and photography, this course examines Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rican diaspora with specific focus on photographic and artistic production in parallel to its historical and social development. The course includes one week of travel in Puerto Rico where students will visit San Juan, visit museums, galleries and other cultural institutions, meet with photographers and artists, and work on a photography project that will be exhibited in New York and accompanied by a self-published book.
