The personality concept in Psychology addresses central questions such as: How do humans think? How is individuality formed? How do people feel and act, and take responsibility for their existence? This course discusses the theoretical underpinnings and findings of research in personality psychology. Students will learn about classic and contemporary perspectives on personal identity and self-expression. We will combine study of debates and controversies with reflection on self, identity, and positioning, to understand the role of personality in various social contexts.
