Earthquakes, tsunamis, hurricanes, floods, meteors, and climate change impact our world. In this course we take a real world case history approach to examining the physical causes of natural disasters and , equally important, the human contribution to them. We also discuss the engineering, planning, and political steps necessary to prevent disasters and equally important, the human contribution to them.
