This course explores how, from 1492 to the present, urban design, architecture, interiors, graphic design and more were utilized to construct the region, with notable global implications. Organized around a number of landscapes, such as slavery, environmental catastrophe, and utopias, this course centers the historical contexts of these designs and their contemporary repercussions.
