FASD-100S Introduction to Fashion

This course offers an introduction to the fashion industry in New York City, one of the fashion capitals of the world. Various aspects of design, inspiration and terminology will be explored. Students will experiment with designers' techniques in sketching and illustration, and develop basic skills in collection development. Field trips to related industry exhibits and designer showrooms will enhance the depth of learning.
