The course will focus on the practical application of 3D animation principles, combining lecture, hands-on lab work, and critique sessions. Classes will include review of core animation theory and essential 3D technical terminology, followed by a lecture on key topics such as industry-standard software, the historical development of animation, and real-world applications. These concepts will be reinforced through technical demonstrations, allowing students to apply theory directly to practice. Students will work with professional-grade software. Students will complete individual and group assignments, with one project requiring them to collaborate in studio-style roles. By the end of the course, students will have developed a demo reel that showcases their comprehensive 3D animation skills.
