FREN-538 Francophone Literatures

This course introduces to advanced-intermediate students a variety of poems, folktales, stories and passages from novels by eminent French speaking authors from countries outside of France. An historical consideration of each country’s confluence or conflict with French language and culture provides a context for better understanding of its literature and people.
