The contemporary workplace is always changing, influenced by a broad set of circumstances. Continuous developments in technology allow the boundaries between work and life to blur. This is both an advantage and a challenge: office workers want flexibility in their schedules and environments. Interior designers have committed to explore every opportunity for spaces of work to be healthy, adaptable, sustainable and efficient. Students will look at the issues of workplace design at a range of scales-from details to overall layouts- to address these issues. Students will pay particular attention to the coordination of furniture, materials, color and lighting.
