SES-630P Climate and Environmental Justice
1 Credits
The Environmental and Climate Justice course introduces students to the nature and extent of environmental and climate justice work, including the technical, ethical and political dimensions of academic research on the subject. The syllabus builds student critical capacity to imagine healthy, just and inclusive communities. This requires a radical reengagement with human and nonhuman entities, including actors and initiatives that transcend typical jurisdictions and boundaries to address the complexity of community assets and vulnerabilities, power dynamics and socioecological futures.
