INFO-605 Automotive UX Design

This course introduces design principles and methods for Automotive User Experience (UX) and in-vehicle User Interfaces (UI). Through project-based work, students analyze and design multimodal in-vehicle experiences that integrate digital, voice, haptic, and gesture-based interactions. The course emphasizes user-centered design methods such as experience mapping, prototyping, and iterative evaluation, with attention to safety, accessibility, attention, and context, while also encouraging students to explore complementary design approaches suited to their projects and interests. The course focuses on interior and in-vehicle interaction design; automotive exterior design is not covered.
