Your friends and family are eligible to apply for a U.S. visitor visa at any point, with no specific invitation letter required by the Department of State. Pratt’s Office of International Affairs (OIA) does not provide visitor invitation letters for friends and family, but you can write an invitation letter yourself. If you would like to provide your family with an invitation letter, you can use this sample invitation letter template.

Because you will be walking around Manhattan and onto the stage at Radio City Music Hall, it’s always wise to dress for the weather, walking on pavement, and navigating stairs.
Graduates should wear the appropriate regalia for their highest degree, in this case, Master’s regalia.
Yes. Bachelor’s gowns are designed to be worn closed and have pointed sleeves. Master’s gowns have oblong sleeves that are square cut at the rear and arc cut away at the front. Master’s gowns may also have a long “tail” on each sleeve.
Master’s degree candidates often wear a hood with their gown. Hood colors can correspond to different academic disciplines, or use traditional or school colors. The hood is draped over the gown’s shoulders and can symbolize the graduate’s academic achievements and dedication.
Yes! Provide them with your Pratt ID (or a copy of it) and they will be able to pick up your regalia for you at one of our Graduation Fair dates:

Service animals are always welcome at Radio City Music Hall. If you are requesting tickets for the ADA sections, it is helpful, though not essential, to let us know at that time that your family will be accompanied by a service animal. Reminder: no other pets of any size will be permitted inside the event venues.
Personnel from Pratt Institute’s Public Safety office and Radio City Music Hall’s security will respond quickly to any medical emergency.
