His professional experiences range from comprehensive planning and urban design to architecture and furniture design, and he has worked professionally in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Upstate New York, and, most recently, New York City. After working professionally in architecture in Phoenix, Arizona, Jonathan attended graduate school at Cornell University, where his academic studies focused on land use, urban design and housing affordability. Jonathan is currently a senior associate with BFJ Planning, one of New York City’s leading urban planning consultants, where he specializes in urban design and physical planning. Prior to joining BFJ, Jonathan was an associate at VHB/Saccardi and Schiff, Inc. in White Plains, NY where he specialized in comprehensive planning, site analysis, impact and economic analyses, and urban design. Jonathan teaches a range of courses from advanced planning methods to overseas courses in Japan and Denmark. Reflecting his professional and academic background, Jonathan’s courses seek to balance theory and practice by conveying subject knowledge and professional intelligence to enable students to effectively and ethically navigate the world of professional practice. |
