Digital Arts

A framework for research, pedagogy, and exploration through anthropocentric interfaces for creative expression built around tracking human gesture and movement, this proposal focuses on setting up the hardware and software devices required for recognizing and tracking bodies, facial expressions, gestures, and objects in a controlled environment, and then experimenting with that system in various use cases. Digital arts students will participate in this project and faculty from other departments will be invited to bring their classes for workshops and experiments that utilize the spatial computing room toward their specific focus.
