Media Studies, Advanced Certificate (Fall and Spring), Brooklyn Campus

Application requirements for non-Pratt Graduate students:

1.  Undergraduate transcripts indicating the completion of a Bachelor’s degree.

2.  Statement of purpose in the program outlining reasons for wanting to pursue a graduate-level media studies degree. 

3. Two letters of recommendation from academic or professional individuals.

4. International students whose first language is not English must submit the TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge English or PTE. The minimum required TOEFL score is 82 (Internet), IELTS of 6.5, Cambridge English of 176, and PTE score of 53

Current Pratt Graduate students: 

The MSGC is automatically available to any student currently enrolled in a graduate program at Pratt Institute who writes to the program chair to express the intent to pursue it. Students will receive the Certificate upon completion of two required courses (Mediologies 1 & 2) and two electives for a total of 12 credits.
