An excerpt of “Let Me Be Frank: A Book About Women Who Dress Like Men and Do Shit They Weren’t Supposed to Do” by Tracy Dawson published on Literary Hub highlighted the work of June Tarpe Mills, who studied fashion illustration at Pratt in the early 20th century. Tarpe Mills was one of the first major women comics artists best known for her creation of the Miss Fury comic strip.
