The Communications Design Image as Communication fall lecture series highlights artists and designers whose work revolves around using the image as a tool for transmitting messages and telling stories.

Maria Arenas is the senior designer at Tandem NYC, the small but mighty creative firm responsible for the iconic visual identity of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s congressional campaign. She graduated from Pratt Institute’s communication design program in 2016.
