On Undoing the Border Fantasy Exhibition Opening Event

“Undoing the Border Fantasy”, curated by Swati Piparsania and Jess Saldaña, exhibits the transgressive and interdisciplinary works of Pratt’s faculty & staff. Inspired by Homi Bhabha’s The Location of Culture, this exhibition explores borders as a “third space,” challenging binary notions and highlighting the intersections where identities form. Featuring art, performance, and research, it probes borders as survival strategies, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue on cultural hybridity, resistance, and the creation of new spaces for knowledge and creativity.
