The time is now! Join candidates, concerned citizens, artists and organizations in an event about voter registration, campaigns and strategies of change. Artists Karen Finley and Pratt’s Fellow in Civic Engagement Amy Khoshbin uncover and share creative voter mobilization strategies, from an interactive postcard-making session with Karen to hearing from political strategist Maya Contreras and GOTV organizers from Walk the Walk, ADVICE, Plan Your Vote, Artists 4 Democracy to meeting two of the youngest City Council Candidates in NY.
Facing an unprecedented Presidential Election shrouded by concerns of voter suppression, how do we make sure everyone who can vote does vote? How do we continue to take our power to the ballot box beyond the Presidential election? You can begin by registering to vote by Oct 9 here! Join us online on Oct 1st. Together we’ll get creative, connect, and take the pledge to VOTE, VOTE AGAIN! Learn how to keep the electoral momentum up into November and forward to local races, like the NY City Council primary (June 2021) Let’s make art act and help each other continue to create the change we want to see.
