October 1, 2019 at 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

(Tuesday, October 1, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm, CEI): In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the Pratt Institute is hosting Somos Pratt, a month-long series of events between September 15 and October 15.

As a part of the Diverse Voices Movie Series, the Latinx Student Alliance and the Center for Equity and Inclusion will host a screening of the 2002 film, Real Women Have Curves. Real Women Have Curves follows a first-generation Mexican-American girl and her passage to womanhood. Although she wants to go away to college, she must battle against the views of her parents, who think she should stay at home and provide for the family.

Sponsored by the Office of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion, the Center for Equity & Inclusion, and the Latinx Student Alliance. For any questions, please email diversity@pratt.edu.

Pratt strives to make all programs, services and activities accessible, and will provide assistance to accommodate any individuals with disabilities. Security personnel, located at booths at 200 Willoughby Avenue and other campus locations, are available for assistance. Additional accessibility resources are available at pratt.edu/accessibility
