Donning of the Kente Ceremony

The Black Alumni of Pratt will hold its inaugural Donning of the Kente, a ceremony celebrating graduating BAP students, their achievements, and a significant event in their lives.

Kente cloth has its roots in the long tradition of weaving in West African countries. Each student will receive a stole embellished with Kente, to be worn with their academic regalia at graduation.

This is an invite-only event.


Pratt strives to make all programs, services and activities accessible, and will provide assistance to accommodate any individuals with disabilities.
