Errata: Challenges to Becoming a Designer

Alumni Reading Room, Pratt Libraries, 3rd Floor, Brooklyn Campus
May 17, 2019 at 2:30 PM - 4:00 PM

Pratt alumnus, Miguel Leiro, and seven Spanish designers will discuss his show: Errata: Books do Clutter a Room.

Errata is an exhibition hosted at Mast Books, celebrating an assemblage of works that question the physical condition of both books and design objects. It brings together new work from various Spanish designers, ranging in material and typology. This talk will challenge the way in which we “read” objects and how a mistake-laden design process can help bring the best out of today’s designers.

Along with presenting their show and individual work, the presentation will feature a time for questions and the opportunity to speak with the designers following their discussion.

This event is open to current Pratt students, alumni, faculty, and staff.

Pratt strives to make all programs, services and activities accessible, and will provide assistance to accommodate any individuals with disabilities. Security personnel, located at booths at 200 Willoughby Avenue and other campus locations, are available for assistance. Additional accessibility resources are available at
