Now a little more than 10 years old, the discipline of content strategy has rapidly evolved into a critical component to an organization’s communications, marketing, and business operations. No longer confined to the province of web redesign projects, content strategy now remains an ongoing driver in how organizations leverage their content assets to support and achieve goals with customers, clients, and constituents.

This symposium will examine various dimensions of content strategy, from its theoretical constructs through its practical applications. The day will be comprised of keynote speakers who will provide perspectives on the discipline’s current state of affairs; panel discussions that explore the discipline’s application in commercial, institutional, and academic contexts; and workshops that provide participants hands-on experience using the discipline’s tools and techniques. Participants can expect to come away with a solid understanding of how content strategy contributes to a more holistic view of how we create, curate, and consume content in the modern world.
