Digital Arts Lecture Series: LaJuné McMillian

LaJuné McMillian is a Queer, Genderfluid, Black, Femme, New Media Artist, Maker, and Creative Technologist living in New York creating art that integrates performance, virtual reality, and physical computing to question our current forms of communication. LaJuné was previously the Director of Skating at Figure Skating in Harlem, where they integrated STEAM and Figure Skating to teach girls of color about movement and technology. They are currently an Eyebeam Resident. While at Eyebeam, they will create The Black Movement Project, an online library equipped with 3D black character base models and motion capture data from black performers previously unrepresented in available databases.
