This course formalizes the structure of advising in the second year of the M.A. program, essential individualized support given the interdisciplinary and multi-practice nature of Media Studies. Through a minimum of four meetings with a faculty advisor, students develop a research question as well as the steps and schedule for completing the thesis. The course provides individually-tailored guidance, feedback, and encouragement to students as they undertake work on their thesis.
