Students engage in a series of studio activities through which they explore a wide variety of materials, concepts and processes. Through analyzing the possibilities and limitations of these materials and processes students make connections to children’s interests, needs, and development. Innovative and emerging practices in contemporary art and design inform studio activities as students translate and adapt contemporary ideas in ways that could support K-12 learners to engage in meaningful and critical making.
