ADGD-205 Graphic Design Intensive

This course is an intensive immersion course that focuses on the development of visual communication skills for commercial application. The purpose is to provide experienced students in their own fields with a strong complementary set of skills in a major that they would not focus on otherwise, to help supplement their general education through a thorough, well-rounded academic and hands-on learning experience at the renowned Pratt Institute. The course shows how and when to use photography, illustration, typography and computer graphics to design logos, web pages, books, exhibits, posters, and packaging. Students will develop an understanding of theoretical concepts through lectures and hands-on practice, as well as gain knowledge of professional practices in the field.
