ARCH-881AP Curating in Public Space
3 Credits
In this seminar class, students will be introduced to historic and contemporary contributions of temporary architecture in public space through examining and critiquing seminal presentations of contemporary issues that use curatorial skills to mobilize critical issues in the built environment, landscape, social justice, equity and climate change. Working with a new institution for contemporary architecture, The World Around, as well as invited guest curators and site visits, students will use their new analytical and critical curatorial skills to create a proposal for their own site-specific exhibition on Governors Island.
