This course is designed for students to develop the ability to perform beginner Mat Pilates exercises for wellness. Students will be able to understand and perform the basic Pilates workout according to the inherent principles introduced. The goals of Pilates are to achieve mind and body alignment; facilitate balance, flexibility and strength, improve posture and focus on the powerhouse (core muscles).
