In this course, we are trying to investigate the agency of climate change and architectural relations in the context of Governors Island. The course will continue the student’s research to establish a design narrative (Aesthetics, politics, and agencies ) and agenda to address the reorientations that have happened during the history of “Governors Island” and embodied in its current Urban and, Architectural state. The Design will predict a solution at the intersection of Governors Island as an entity and the agency of climate change. At this intersection, Students’ designs will explore different fabrication strategies, methodologies, and materiality to improve the design and complete a visual mock-up at the end of the semester.
