This class discusses the ways in which architecture and economy in the 20th and 21st centuries areco-constitutive and dynamic forces. The class asks: Where can we find agency in the architecturalpractices of economic life? Guided by recent publications in the field of architectural history andtheory, the seminar will draw out and denaturalize political economic dimensions instrumental toarchitectural practices, in order to think the mutual construction or deconstruction of architectureand economy.
