From the beginning of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, we at Pratt Institute have worked to ensure our students, faculty, and staff are well-informed, supported, and taking the appropriate precautions. As the situation has changed rapidly and unpredictably, the community has responded with agility, generosity, and decisiveness. And now we are rallying our creative and collaborative spirit to move the way we learn and work online.

We have collated all these efforts here at Please visit often and use the resources you find here. Any questions, concerns, or recommendations not covered on this website may be sent to

Following the New York Department of Health recommendations, Pratt Institute’s campus is temporarily closed to the public.

As of 5 PM, Friday, March 27, both Brooklyn and Manhattan campuses will be closed and only essential employees will be permitted access. All others seeking access are required to obtain permission, via email, from a faculty member’s respective dean or from a staff member’s vice president. Please do not email Public Safety directly. Entry to the Brooklyn campus is only available through the 200 Willoughby gate with your Pratt ID.

All personnel other than those who have been identified as “essential” have been asked to work remotely. All campus academic facilities (classrooms, labs, shops, studios, libraries, etc.) are closed until further notice. All administrative offices are closed. All departments remain available online.
