Leadership Awards Philosophy and Nomination process

The Awards recognize individual and organizational involvement on campus and in the surrounding community that is characterized by care and respect for others. Such involvement demonstrates the ability to inspire others to act and reflect on personal and group experiences, which aid individuals in becoming informed, responsible, and productive community members. Involvement from an individual or an organization can be reflected in traditional or non-traditional activities.

Students, faculty, or staff may make nominations; self-nominations are encouraged. While the nominators will remain anonymous, we ask that you submit a brief reason why a person or group is being nominated for an award. All nominees will be provided with more detailed award criteria and asked to complete an expanded nomination form.

Programs/Events that occurred between February of last academic year and February of this academic year are eligible for nomination.
