Harold Leeds (Interior Design, Faculty)

The Paris Theater, New York, (1948)

Built to promote French film to post-war American audiences, The Paris Theater is among the oldest art-film houses in the United States and retains Leeds’s original elegant interiors and curved auditorium. The New York Times calls the single-screen Paris “the real thing, a bona fide vestige of a storied past.” Leeds, a longtime Pratt faculty member, helped establish Pratt’s graduate school of interior design.
