One of the early artists to experiment with using code to make art, Davis created PrayStationas a sort of digital sketchbook to display new ideas. According to Wired, Davis “pushed JavaScript, Shockwave, and Flash beyond what was thought possible, making static Web pages spring to life . . .” but “it was Davis’s personal sites, like PrayStation. . .that built his rock star rep.”
