Almost 44 millions copies of Deas’s glamorous vision of Marilyn Monroe were saved by collectors, making it one of the most popular postage stamps in U.S. history. Deas has created more than a dozen portraits for United States Postal Service stamps, and the artist has been awarded four Gold Medals from the Society of Illustrators for his achievements.
