In February 2018, President Frances Bronet appointed Provost Kirk E. Pillow and Vice President for Finance and Administration Cathleen Kenny to co-chair a steering committee charged with the important task of creating a new strategic plan that will articulate Pratt’s highest aspirations and chart its future.
By April 2018, the chairs, steering committee and its thematically focused subcommittees composed of faculty, administrative staff, and students, had launched an inclusive campus process that will gather input from all of the Institute’s stakeholders. The Academic Senate was directly involved in the selection of faculty and chair participants, and its president serves on the steering committee.
There will be many opportunities in the coming months for faculty, students, administrative staff, board members and alumni to participate in this process. As with the Institute’s recently completed Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Strategic Plan, which will be come part of the comprehensive plan, the new strategic plan will be shared in draft form with the entire Pratt community for feedback.
