The Student Affairs division is led by the Vice President for Student Affairs, the Assistant Vice Presidents and departmental directors across the division. Together with the Student Affairs department staff they are dedicated to student advocacy, support and well-being. Food Pantry thepantry@pratt.edu

The Pratt Pantry is a resource for students facing food insecurity, otherwise known as inconsistent access to food due to financial limitations, time constraints, or the unavailability of nutritious food options. Students can access the Pantry during open hours and retrieve shelf-stable items like canned goods, grains, snack foods, and microwaveable meals as well as hygiene products at no cost to them.

Fresh fruits and vegetables are delivered to campus for purchase every week: 10-15lbs of produce for $14 per bag. Email farmtocampus@pratt.edu to sign up and for the current pick up schedule.

The Student Advocate and Care Coordinator (SACC) within Student Affairs works to help students overcome obstacles that stand in the way of personal and academic success at Pratt Institute. You can share your concerns, requests and needs for aid with us anytime, simply email or call.

Confidential individual and group counseling services are available by virtual or in-person appointment to all enrolled Pratt students. Licensed mental health professionals including psychologists and clinical social workers provide and supervise all services. Pratt also consults with a psychiatrist to provide further evaluation for psychotropic medications for students in crisis. Crisis counseling is also available 24/7 by calling us at 718-687-5356. The Office of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion works with various campus partners on efforts and initiatives to create an equitable and inclusive environment here at Pratt. Our office is located in the Main Building, First Floor. The office also oversees the Center for Equity and Inclusion (CEI). The mission of the CEI is to educate and empower students, faculty, and staff to raise critical consciousness around social justice and issues of power and privilege. The CEI is supported by the Student Diversity Advisory Board (SDAB). SDAB is a diverse student organization coalition that promotes social justice and underrepresented identities. Some organizations that makeup SDAB are the Black Student Union, the Latinx Student Alliance, Queer Pratt, NOMAS, and PISA. The CEI is located on the lower level of the Main Building, Room 004. The Learning/Access Center (L/AC) has staff and tools available to support all Pratt students who are working toward academic success. To that end, at the L/AC, students can meet with a tutor or a peer advisor, explore assistive technology, and take part in student success programming.  Study rooms are also available.

The L/AC also provides academic and special housing/dining  accommodations for students with disabilities, including learning disabilities, mental health conditions, chronic illnesses, as well as physical, sensory, and mobility disabilities.

The staff of Health Services continues to provide our students with care. We are open and happy to assist you in your health and wellbeing. Pratt Health Services is open for limited in-person services, and remains available virtually and for telehealth visits during regular hours. During this pandemic, our dedicated staff will continue to provide our students with excellent care, albeit sometimes in a non-traditional way.

In-person appointments will be assigned at the discretion of a healthcare provider. Students should make sure that they have set up their health portal at pratt.medicatconnect.com. We will resume self-serve portal appointments once it is feasible to do so.

Students who make in-person appointments with Health Services will need to meet all the Pratt mandated requirements for entry on campus, including signing the social contract and providing negative COVID-19 testing results. You can find more information on returning to campus on the Back to Pratt website. 

The Health Center is located on the first floor of Willoughby Hall.

Pratt Chapel -involvement@pratt.edu

The Pratt Chapel is the setting for meditation, inter-denominational and denominational activities, all to note important events for the entire campus community. Any group wishing to reserve the Pratt Chapel may contact Student Involvement. You can also contact the Rabbi to discuss activities for the Chapel, whose only requirement is respect for the space and its purpose.

The mission of Residential Life and Housing is to efficiently and effectively administer a housing program in a learning centered environment that challenges and supports students. The Office of International Affairs (OIA) works with F-1 and J-1 visa holders throughout their academic and immigration journeys. We strive to enhance their experiences at Pratt and in the United States with our immigration services. We serve incoming students in preparing to arrive in the US, current students in maintaining their immigration status while studying, and alumni in maintaining their immigration status while on work permission.

The Pratt Institute Department of Public Safety provides 24-hour-a-day protection to the campus. Public Safety Officers are charged with the enforcement of Pratt Institute rules and regulations. They are staff employees and are responsible for a full range of services, including preparation of crime and condition reports, response to emergencies, conducting fire drills, and any other situation requiring security assistance. The 7th floor of Pratt’s Manhattan campus, the Pratt Manhattan Student Union provides a space for students to relax, create, or collaborate. The space includes a comfortable lounge with couches, tables, and a Micromart which has a vast selection of food and beverages. In addition, the 7th floor is staffed on a rotating basis with student services personnel to assist students with individual needs. Have a question?
