Welcome to the Pratt Pantry. The Pantry is open to provide food to students who are experiencing hunger or food insecurity for any reason. For more information about how to access the Pantry or contribute to the program, please see below.
When is the Pantry open and where is it?
The Pratt Pantry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 AM–1 PM and Wednesdays from 4–6 PM. We are located in Chapel Hall, room 010. The appointment option is for students who desire privacy during their visit. To make an appointment, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org requesting an appointment and complete the intake form below.
What do I have to do to access the Pantry?
All visitors must first complete the intake form and will be asked to sign a Terms and Conditions form during their first visit. To expedite the visit, students may complete the intake form ahead of time. These forms must only be completed once per year. Returning visitors will be asked to complete a shorter form. All answers will be kept confidential and will only be used to improve operations.
The Pantry will provide a paper bag for visitors but to help limit waste, please bring your own reusable bag.
Who staffs the Pratt Pantry?
The Pantry is staffed by volunteer staff members from multiple departments across campus and occasionally by student staff members.
How often can I visit the Pantry?
As often as you need. Visits are not capped and students do not have to demonstrate need in order to visit the Pantry. We ask that all visitors only take what they need and to donate in the future if they find themselves able to do so.
What kind of food is available?
All food at the Pantry is non-perishable, meaning canned food, grains, dry goods, and other products. We hope to provide perishable foods like fresh fruits and vegetables in the future.
Does the Pratt Pantry provide any other services?
All visitors will receive information on local food insecurity resources, recommendations for applying to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP/EBT), and tips for city living on a budget.
How do I contact Pratt Pantry staff for questions, information on how to support the program, or to refer a student?
You can contact us at email@example.com. We accept in-kind donations that can be dropped off to campus, or delivered via our Amazon Wish List.
