Official registration information and dates are outlined on the Academic Calendar and in the Academic Guide for Students. Responsibility for a correct registration and an academic record rests with the student. Students are responsible for knowing regulations regarding withdrawals, refund deadlines, program changes, and academic policies.
Registration processing for the semesters: Fall term – begins end of March/early April, Spring term – begins end of October/ early November, Summer – begins end of March/early April.
A student’s registration date is displayed under their name when they log into MyPratt. Class registration is done online through Academic Tools, and then through Student Planning. Where students can communicate with their Advisor, review the course catalog of courses offered by semester, plan and adjust their schedule, view grades and their degree plan, and download an unofficial transcript.
Undergraduate and Graduate Bulletins for the current academic year can be downloaded or requested through Admissions.
In order to register and attend any course at Pratt Institute, a student must:
- Be formally approved for admission.
- Have a program of courses approved online by an academic advisor.
- Register for the approved courses online at www.pratt.edu/mypratt.
- Pay prescribed tuition and fees.
Student are fully responsible for tuition and fees after completion of Steps 1-3 and for knowing the regulations regarding withdrawals, refund deadlines, program changes, and academic policies at Pratt Institute.
Instructors will not admit unregistered students into classes. Proof of official registration may be obtained in the Office of the Registrar or online at www.pratt.edu/mypratt. Credits and grades will not be recorded for courses taken without a valid registration.

Once a student is formally approved for admission to Pratt, Students are responsible for knowing regulations regarding withdrawals, refund deadlines, program changes, and academic policies and should review the enrollment procedures for Full-Time and Part-Time Academic Enrollment.
Registration for semester courses is done online through Pratt’s Student Planning system.
Always check your schedule and bill after making any changes to make sure there are no outstanding issues.
